500 MJ
We're in the market for a used car for my fiance and I've found myself looking at XJ's. I'm wondering if the MPG ratings were significantly different for the 2wd versions. I've found a '97/2wd/Auto that I am interested at looking into further. http://wausau.craigslist.org/cto/2082632473.html I can't stand working on the '96 Honda Passport she has now, its time to start looking... kyleag89
My 94 XJ 2wd gets excellent gas mileage. I just drove from MD to MA to visit family and got a little over 350 miles to a tank. I'm lucky to see 250 miles a tank in my MJ.
tbrand
I don't know about mileage, but that would be a $4-5k XJ here in AZ. For some reason, their perceived value is quite inflated.
500 MJ
Thats really something. 4wd is an upgrade here because of the snow and all the woods/backroads. Its so easy to change one over though that I am not afraid of buying a 2wd, and really I could just leave it that way for the easy winters here. JeepcoMJ
good price, but I'd be trying to get around $800 off of it. after all, it is 2wd and we do live in wisconsin... my 97/4.0/5 speed/4x4 got 22.5mpg average. that thing should be right around there. to be honest, I'd be converting it to 4x4, too...safety first. kyleag89
Paid $900 for mine perfect condition fully loaded for a country, and picked up a 92 4x4 for $250 so I have my 4x4 swap parts. Haven't put them in yet though.
