Well I have had the truck for a little over a year and have been slowly working away at it but I lost my good paying job so now it has to go. It's not beautiful and its not perfect. It still needs some exhaust work and a new windshield and a bunch of other little things here and there. It would be a good project or just a good parts truck. The plow system works and I even have a spare hydraulic pump I'll throw in with it for spare parts.

I Just got five new tires on it (4+ spare). I have put a bunch of money into this thing but I'd be happy with just getting what I paid for the tires back out of it right now. The tires have less than 10 miles on them.

It starts up and runs well. I gave it a tune up a while ago. It sat for about 5 years before I picked it up.

I want to be up front about everything with this truck. Its by no means perfect. It does drive and is registered I just don't have the time, money or drive to finish it at this point and figured I'd offer it here before I call the junkers.

Ask me any questions you like or if you want to come see it we'll set something up.

Thanks,

-Jimbob

I'll try and get some pictures up later one but here is a list of the things I have done to her:

I took the carpet out and the floors were rusted out in the foot wells as usual but the frame is still rust free and strong. I zip screwed down new cherokee floor pans and sealed up the seams but I'm not a welder and had always planned on going back and doing that right later, I just needed floors haha.

The truck had no rear bumper when I got it and so it has suffered some minor damage the sheet metal on the passenger side of the bed. The tailgate still opens and closes, though the handle does not acuate one of the locks anymore. I think its a quick fix I just have not looked into it.

It has one newer (ebay) tail light due to the damage I mentioned above.

I have replaced all the brakes lines, the rear wheel cylinders and the master cylinder. I did the height sensing prop valve bypass. The valve is still mounted but it was missing the linkage to the axle so I just bypassed it with the new lines.

The clutch line has been replaced. I was told the Clutch was replaced just before it was allowed to sit the several years before I got it.

The plow works normally, although the front springs have some sag because of the plow. The plow when raised causes the front of the truck to dip which I have heard is normal with the stock springs.

There are several surface rust spots but the rocker panels and cab corners are rust free. The truck has the sticker in the glove box saying it came with factory undercoating which I think can be thanked for that.

The vacuum lines most likely need to be replaced as the heat works but will not switch away from defroster.

The motor starts up and runs every time, even last winter in the dead of winter when I used it to plow my driveway.

The 4x4 works. It is a 5 speed manual.

The tires are Nexen Rodian HT tires. I got all four plus the spare.

The under bed spare tire mount is gone.

Let me know of any other questions and I will try to get pics posted today.

PM me if anyone wants to come look at it. I'll be around most of the week.

The body over all is in pretty good condition for an 86. No rust holes or anything just a few spots here and there and a few dents and scratches and stuff. Nothing that I would call major. The bed floor is pretty scratched up but it was being used as a work truck. its got a rubber mat down in it now...too bad the PO didn't think of that sooner.
