AMC-MJ Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 I called around started getting discouraged as nobody stocked one :fs1: Autozone 2 towns away had one in stock but it was only the life time warranty one the guy said so it would be spendy :( $26.99  was the Lifer time spendy one they also had a $15.99 unit that was out of stock with a 1yr . . . anywho, Its freezing anyone know what size wrench fits the bolt to remove the blower motor ? 1988 Comanche 2.5 2WD Mike
AMC-MJ Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010  Yep she's brand new . . . the blower motor seemed to be a simple easy straight forward swap out take 3-5min right ? . . . no so fast :fs1: . . . First the removal easy, second removing the fan blade from motor :rotf: ya screw that after you ruin it get the replacement its metal 8) . . . Oh and it's 1/4-3/8" longer then the OEM plastic one easy fix, take your big flat head screw driver and a hammer and knock out the Metal ring on the inside of the blower housing reinstall blower have fantastic heat on all speed & option settings  Oh and the bolts holding the blower take 5/16" shallow socket ;) Not so frozen in Wisconsin  Mike
mnkyboy Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 At least you have the 2.5L its a little easier then the 4.0L I had to replace the one on my xj,its got the coolant bottle up there and the ABS crap in the way.
AMC-MJ Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 Ya but the 2.5er is going to be replaced with my AMC-V8  hopefully that don't make it more challenging :ack: Tho i don't see it being used in cold weather after the swap, But i may just change it out one last if i have to relocate some thing in the way  Mike
