jimoshel Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Standard or auto? Get a XJ donor and it's do able. I don't think MJ ever had a standard column shift. Use the 'search' there's several write ups on converting the auto.

Any year from 87 to 94 Except that '87-'90 used the mechanical speedo and '91-'94 used the electronic speedo, so to replace the one in your truck without the PRNDL window you'll need the type that matches the year of your MJ.

Correct. I figured that that would be common sense so I didn't elaborate. The rest of the parts can come from an 87 to 94

Except for every time I drive the (98) XJ, and almost tear the wiper switch off the column trying to shift into drive. :doh: Hope you saved the column-shift steering column, I bet someone here would want it (I'd buy it if you were closer :yes: ).
