mrsinister
Hey everyone, I notice most folks may not have these still affixed to thier back wall. This came stock and shows the diagram of how to place the stock jacking equipment in. Hope this helps someone!

64 Cheyenne
What is the "adapter" part under the lug wrench?
kastein
Thanks! Been wondering how that was all supposed to get stowed, mine came to me with it all just bouncing around.
mfpdm
What is the "adapter" part under the lug wrench? It is used to lower the tire down. Put it in the hole through the rear for the tire winch and then put the crank in it. Most were lost long ago. Oh and thanks mrsinister for the diagram. Saved

I know for a fact that type of lug wrench and "adapter" did not come on '90 models but not sure when they changed. I did find them in an '86 at the JY, now they're in my '88. 64 Cheyenne
Yup, another one of those MJ things that are "one of those parts" that you keep your eyes open for.
mrsinister
Glad to help, ill keep an eye out for anything else randomly original about my 86'... 64K and counting.
kastein
Wow, never knew that adapter even existed, my 91 either didn't come with one or it got lost. Just the jack crank handle itself works fine so far for lowering/raising the tire winch however.
terrawombat
Well, now I know what the heck that annoying steel rod I keep tripping over is. I must have kicked that thing around my shop a dozen times or so not knowing where the heck it came from. Guess I'll put it back where it came from.
