surfer1316 Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I was cruising around on line and found a S10 4x4 site where the guy used the stock tank under the bed along with a blazer tank which is located behind the rear axles for a "stock" dual gas tank set up, has anybody ever tried anything like this with the comanches and a cherokee gas tank?
GirsMJ86 Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 from what i would think, i don't think it would work. the tank on XJs sit up in the rer so they don't hang out below the rear end. also it would really be in the way for an MJ that does any sort of off-road stuff that needs the nice angle in the back. best way i figure to do duals would be use a fuel cell in the bed. but rather then that just use as big of a cell you can fit in the bed and remove the stock tank. just my . Pete M Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I've thought about a dual tank too, but I keep finding that it's a big pain in the butt to do it right and I'd have to drag another 18 gallons around with me everywhere. :( I think my '88 is heavy enough as it is. :D
DirtyComanche Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I was thinking about trying to have two (one on each side of the driveshaft). Then I got a propane tank that came 2/3's full and is 140L or something stupid. For $65. The propane in it is work about $90.
