Dash/Brake lights out again

Recommended Posts

For the ten millionth time my dash/brake lights have gone out. Checked the bulbs they are good, replaced the following fuses hzd, dome, radio, and every other 15 there is. I still have no dash or brake lights. I have marker lights/tail lights if that helps at all. I'm thinking that it is a ground somewhere but I'm not sure were to look. Any help would be appreciated.

I just went through the same thing last week. Double check the parking lamp fuse. I went through 2 in 10 minutes and on the third one I stuck my head down to watch it as I turned the ignition and sure enough, it blew out. Figuring the problem to be a ground, I stared at the battery and worked backwards. I was VERY lucky and found the disconnect about 12" from the battery. Connected wires. Problem solved. Good luck!!

I haven't checked the grounds yet, I spent the day messing with fuses. I checked and re checked them and they are all fine. I have tail lights, and marker lights but still no darn dash/brake lights! It's to the point were it must be a ground somewhere. I'll check out the one behind the tail light, but where else should I look? I'm not sure the location of any other grounds. Are there any diagrams to were they could be found?

Someone had mentioned there is a ground under the dash on the driver side and another mentioned that the main ground that usually attaches by the dipstick mount. You may also want to check the wire connectors that go to the back to make sure they are making good contact.
