wyk
Does anyone know a good source for these? I have one that is made for the perforated front end, but mine is made for the stick-on one.

If I wanted just to find an emblem, I could have Googled. I was hoping for more than just a Google. I was hoping for advice on who to buy from, and maybe an endorsement. Or maybe if someone had one they wanted to sell, etc. I was in college using the internet before Al Gore was even elected. ;) WYK
87Warrior
I can't speak for the badge, but I have had excellent luck using Morris 4x4 (jeep 4x4 center). I have had much better luck with them than jeepsareus as far as shipping time and customer service. Plus their website is much easier to use! kastein
What color do you want? I have a set of the aluminum-painted ones (matte instead of shiny chrome) somewhere from my '96's old header panel, they're yours for shipping if (a) I can find them and (B) you want them. They need new adhesive, but that's no big deal, a roll of Loctite Power Grab is something you should have around anyways :D

Eagle
Two points: 1) It isn't "a" badge. The '86 should be four separate letters. 2) The '86 should use the pin-through style. The stick-ons didn't come into use until the 90s. Does your truck have the original header, or a replacement?

There are no holes in the front bezel. I suppose I can make one if needs be. I can't feel any indentations on the inside, either. It seems to me, though, that the stick ons would work fine. So where does this leave us?

I took a look around, and it does appear to be a 97 bezel. Thanks! Psh - it'll cost me $5 in fuel alone there and back to the junk yard. Then there's whatever they wanna charge to get in, and the 100* heat. I think I will lean back in my Lane Recliner in the AC and push buttons instead. ;) Thanks for the help, mang, WYK

xjrev10
I did this to my XJ. Its a sticker that is designed to stick to the stamping on Wrangler or CJ. I think it looks good. :brows:
