Anyone else get hit? I had to go with my wife to a friends house less than a mile away since we are house sitting while they are on their honeymoon. Well......It took us over an hour and trying 5 different routes due to downed trees and wires. We spent most of the trip with a guy in a Rubicon Wrangler following us helping us to remove debris from the road so we could keep going forward. Some of the worst storms to blow through in a long time!

My XJ now has some hail damage and I'm sure the MJ does too seeing as it is sitting on 4 jackstands at my buddies house while I do some brake work on it........

We waited, and waited for this monster storm to hit. The tv guys said to take cover, I even went as far as putting the Yj in the garage and putting tarps over the Xj, and Mj. We took in all the patio furniture locked up the garage doors, locked up the bulkhead, closed every window in the house although my wife insisted we should "leave them open" got down in the basement with our candles turned the radio on and started playing monopoly with my wife and son. 4 hours later it hadn't even rained yet.

Today was a huge disapointment storm wise.

After checking the old weather stations I guess the storm went right around Holliston ma.

Here in Meriden we where lucky, we only got heavy rain. VERY close by severe damage with possibly two separate tornadoes!!!

My brother in Plainville had hail and heavy winds. He is OK but neighbors lost trees, windows and anything loose in the yards.

One sister in New Britain also got hail almost golf ball sized. Lots of damage to cars and windows, trees toppled there too.

Other sister in Naugatuck had a close call with one tornado. Naugatuck for those that don't know is in a valley and seems to get more than there share of bad weather. She is just south of Torrington where many of the bad storms begin. When this happens they seem to run right down that valley to the ocean.

The tornado earlier in the month in Bridgeport, that's on the shore near the end of that valley...

Good news is everyone is fine and overall very little damage to my family. Others have not been so lucky. Glad to hear CC members so far have made it thru fine.

heard that part of worcester was without power, substation got hit by lightning, tornado sirens going off etc.

Out in Hudson (MA) the sky just got dark and it got very windy and there was some heavy thunder, no actual rain. I was kinda disappointed.

We had VERY heavy rain about 4:15 or 4:30, enough wind to take down numerous branches, but didn't lose electricity at home. Then the sun came out, all was good for another hour or hour and a half -- and then we got clobbered with Round Two. More heavy rain, more wind, more branches down -- but again we didn't lose power.

I know this might sound odd but I have been here in LA for 15 years and I miss all the storms and seasons of New England being born there.

We don't really ever have any good storms out here :(

I am glad everyone is ok though.
