Anyone have a recommendation? Apparently they are harder to find than power.... :fs1:

 

Can anyone verify that the rear regulator from an XJ will work in our doors if they are from the same side? Thanks in advance

there may be cheaper ones out there but I have seen them available at www.teamcherokee.com. As many have posted here on other posts you can also try the salvage yards but I figure it is best to replace with new because you don't know how long the used will last.

I'm using 4 door XJ regulators on mine. Worked great. In fact better then the originals since they bolted in instead of being riveted in. Just make sure you get them from an XJ that doesn't have the one piece glass window.

Are you using a front or rear regulator? The only new ones I could find are $180/each and I'll admit that I was hoping to not spend that much... :oops:

XJ's rear door window regulators Will Not Work. There shorter and bent totally different, and mount in a different location (Yes, I've compared the two :roll: )

 

Unless you have a showroom condition MJ, I wouldn't spent that kind of coin for new ones, I've had real good luck finding used ones in the Pick-n-pull, and grabbed some off e-bay when the price was right, just bought a set last month for $12 plus shipping on e-bay.

thanks. the repair looks easy enough that even if I wind up doing it every couple of years the used may be the way to go....

4DR XJ front door ones should work, from sometime in the 80s all the way through 96.
