CWLONGSHOT
What is preferred? POLY or RUBBER? I have poly in the TJ and they are fine, but kinda hesitate in the MJ with the uni-body MJ... :dunno: What do you all think?? CW
cracker
Either works fine. The polly doesn't isolate the vibrations as well. I prefer the rubber myself.
LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW
I prefer the rubber myself. X2. Poly will shake your brain out....
dasbulliwagen
Poly will also transfer more noise into the body... ran them on most of my VW's, thats probably why I have tinitus and am half deaf! Or it could have been the wide open stinger exhausts I had!
STERLING STINGER
if mounts are bad, does it sound like a blown shock?
CWLONGSHOT
In my case, I just have a little clunk when I let off the gas. I was underneath looking at the tract of water from the drip pans and noticed they where badly dry rotten from the bottom. What little can be seen of them from the top looks fine. ratrapp
i've got the brown dog mounts and they are kinda harsh.maybe the softer of the two styles would be better.i cheaped out and got the classic style because the softer ones were a little more expensive.in hindsight i should've got the softer ones. JeepcoMJ
get the brown dog or M.O.R.E. motor mounts...with the factory LCA bushings. 3 years running them for me, still no issues.
