Steering wheel column?

Hey guys.

I drove my mj the other day and when I got in I noticed the steering wheel moves... You can move it around like it's loose. But it also rides to the right... Any help will be appreciated!

Does your truck have a tilt column?

The wiggle (UJoint) that lets the column tilt is loose. You want to tighten the 4 bolts, if I remember right, that holds it together B4 any of the bearings fall out. Requires removing the steering wheel, locking plate and turn signal assembly.

The procedure to tighten up a loose GM tilt column is all over the Internet. I don't have it bookmarked because I don't have one, but someone here posted a link to one of the writeups within the past few weeks (IIRC).

Ah the ole sloppy tilt column. I had to do this as well. Here's a link for you that has great pics and other links as well on the subject.

As a matter of fact, no. However, there is a member on here that is an AMSoil distributor or just a guru on it. Can't remember them right off hand but they have it in there sig.
