Pete M
I'd drill out the head of the bolt.

kastein
Are you sure it's 1/4"? I seem to recall it being a 6 or a 7 mm bolt. Â If you don't mind going the "path of no return" route, you can use a sawzall to cut away at the connector body till you can get at the head with a pair of vice grips. Disconnect the battery first! freakjeep93
yea i thought of that today. i only tried 2 sockets for some reason but it does seem to be stripped. I'm going to play with it more tomorrow and see if i can get it. reson i think its 1/4 is becasue in my reading here someone said it was 1/
Eagle
yea i thought of that today. i only tried 2 sockets for some reason but it does seem to be stripped. The MJs, especially the early ones, were a maddening mix of metric and SAE fasteners. And use 6-point sockets, not 12-point.
freakjeep93
thanks ill try my metric sockets after work tomorrow but I'm still pretty sure its stripped. i don't use 12 point sockets on anything i strip enough bolts as it is lol
