knocking noise

every time i take off there is a knocking from under my mj. and every once in a while i will turn sharply and feel vibration. is tht just my rear end binding up and is this normal?

check to see if your exhaust is contacting your transmission crossmember. :thumbsup: Also check you U-joints for slop.

U joints are a great start but a thunk or knock can come from almost anywhere . My problem was mostly steering but the most noticeable clunk came from the track bar

bracket . They tend to loosen overtime , more common with a mild 2"-3" lifts with the stock bracket , I ended up welding mine , dammed thing came loose like three times .

well i recently checked and i have a bad u-joint. gonna replace both of them though because they have 115,000 miles on them
