bowmanco05
Hey all, new member here, had a 2000 xj that i built from stock to 5" of lift and 33's, got tired of daily driving a 9 mpg POS so i sold it and bought an even bigger one. Never documented any work ive ever done so i figured this would be a good time to start. 88 with 4.0, 231 Sprung over rear with 8.8/limited slip/disc brakes using u-bolt eliminators. D30 front with a lockright. Rockkrawler 3-link, 4.88's Uploaded with ImageShack.us Bought it with a bunch of body damage but only 134k on the clock. Most of the damage was on the bottom of the bed so I went to work with a sawzall and grinder and for not knowing what i was doing it turned out better than what i started with. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Tore out the old interior and ratty bench seat. Newer comanche buckets, herculined entire interior. Turned out pretty nice i think. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Rattle canned it with 2 cans of primer, and I think 4 cans of flat army green. Uploaded with ImageShack.us All in all got a good deal on a really nice starting point. Still has stock style steering so i ordered some 3/4" heims and misalignment spacers for crossover steering, will update on that later. Other plans - needs a sye/driveshaft, ball joints/wheel bearings, going to re-route the intake into the cowl, and a million other things. thanks for looking. possum
Did you buy that from the Flint or Burton area. I stopped and looked at one like that. It was on a trailer for sale in someone's front yard off of Lippincott Rd.
