stock Mj springs vs stock XJ springs

the mj I'm picking up has stock rear springs with soa and some other stuff. my question is will stock XJ springs lower, raise, or keep the same height and will they move the axle back at all.

 

I'm wondering this since i want to move the axle back a few inches, lift it more, and i allready have stock xj springs.

xj springs r too small but u can lower if u use the stock xj shackles

XJ springs arent long enough is the problem. they sit almost flat on XJs to begin with anyways.

so theyd do the opposite of what i want...... oh well ill just have to move the axle mounts back i guess.

Take the main leaf from a S-10 pack and cut the eyes off it. Insert it in your pack below the main leaf (on each side). Re-drill the centre holes on the spring perches.

Theoretically, using XJ springs in the sping-over-axle set-up should put you back at about stock heighth. However, the springs are much shorter, as Oizarod115 stated.
