bbe Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Anyone had theirs wrapped in vinyl? I have an 88 Laredo with bad paint and I am considering having it wrapped in a camo pattern. Whatcha think?
Automan2164 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 It may sound like a cheap option, but having a vehicle body-wrapped in vinyl is actually the same cost, or more(usually) than a regular old paint job. After finding someone who can print out the huge sections of vinyl, you have to pay someone to put it on. Last I heard, HOTROD magazine did an old impala, and it cost about $3500. Rob L.
dasbrick Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 It would be hard to find it if you need to walk away in the woods.
88SporTruck Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 If you wrap it don't plan on wheeling it. Torn vinyl from tree branch scrapes will look 10X worse than a little scratch in the paint
JeepcoMJ Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 and you can't use a pressure washer up close on vinyl. and you have to go through touchless car washes, because the brushes fubar the vinyl. our company vans are wrapped. biggest mistake ever...not only do the seems look like $#!&, but they chip easy.
deziped Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 That would be totally ghetto. Does that stuff stay on in wet climate or slide down and drape over the wheels.
