88mjmanche Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 soooooooo i just calculated my MPH with a top speed calculator ofline and it told me i will have a top speed of 50 mph at 4000 rpm?????? i have a 88 with the 4.0 low output , i put in .79 as a 5th gear ratio ( I have a five speed ba10/5 ), 2.72 as a transfercase ratio, and 4.10 as axle gears. i also have 32 inch super swampers. my question is...... is the topspeed right at 4000 rpm and 5th gear i will go 50 mph ??????????????????????????????
Geonovast Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 It factored in your T-case ratio. The T-case ratio is only relevant when calculating crawl ratio. Your 231 will have a 2.72:1 ratio when in 4LO.. HI range is 1:1.
88mjmanche Posted April 7, 2010 Author Posted April 7, 2010 oooooooooooooooooo thank youuuuuuu
Eagle Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 i can do 50 in 4lo? In fifth gear. The real question is: Would you want to, and if so, why?
