Ez-locker or powertrac no-slip???

Recommended Posts

Which of the 2 would be better to run. The axle is a AMC 20 from a J-10. It's gonna have 4.88 gears and tires are gonna be 37" Claws. I currently have both types of lockers but not sure on which one would hold up better. Any info? Thanks

lock-rite...

the no slip doesnt ever fully lock.

and my brother ran a 33" tire with loc-rite on a D35 with no problems (made alot of noise for the week or two that he ran a 35" but now its a 44 w/ detroit so..)

i would say itll hold up, cause itll be much beefier for an AMC20 than for a D35.

I've been doing some reading on them. The no slip is like a lock right, ez locker, ect.... About onlything different in the way they work. Is that the no-slip isn't supposed to rachet through turns like the others. I think i'm gonna run the no slip. I may keep the ez locker for back up.

I hate my lockrite in the rear of my MJ but i drive on the street alot. And your right it doesnt ratchet through turns and if it does it slips and slams everything in the driveline. I am even considering pulling it out of the rear of mine. I am running 35s with my d35 and have had no issues with breakage YET but I'm sure i will. Just my 2cents for ya. But it works great in the front for me since i have the Vac disco with a homemade posi lock system. ;)
