knever3
I have 3" Superlift front springs and they are to stiff for me. What 3" springs are softer and provide a nice on-road ride? I have read through posts but I am not convinced after reading. Specs for the springs would be great but most companies don't post this info. I don't have a heavy bumper or winch and really don't plan on it so the lightest springs compared to factory would be great! Thanks for all your help in advance.
jpnjim
What shocks are you using? My opinion: stiffish springs + mildly valved shocks = best overall balance & ride.
HOrnbrod
OME coils and shocks. Expensive but handling and ride much improved. http://www.rocky-road.com/xjome.html
knever3
I am using BDS 7500 series shocks. The shocks seem to handle good, but I haven't given thorough drive test yet. There is a listing for a 3" spring on the OME site, but what spring rate is the HD one? The earlier reading says 148lb, but that does not mention the HD springs. I really don't think I need HD springs so can I buy regular 148lb springs with a 3" lift? Thanks,

Thanks, I've been using the OME 930 coils (together w. OME shocks) for about four years now. By using doubled up stock spring pads, the front lift was a mite over 3". And LEAD is exactly right saying: REMEMBER THAT THE COIL SPRING RATE DOES NOT DETERMINE 100% OF RIDE QUALITY!!! IT VARIES GREATLY BASED ON THE SHOCKS YOU RUN!!! NOT TO MENTION CONTROL ARM ANGLES!
