2nd Battery

Whats the best location for a 2nd battery box? i pulled my XJ's $8 walmart box and it won't fit behind the bench. any suggestions where to mount this thing?

I mounted mine in the bed in a battery box. It's not actually hooked into the system yet, but it's within jumper cable reach. :D

Thats where I was thinking for mine. But I am waiting on word if I got a toolbox lined up. My neighbor had to downgrade because of his 5th wheel. He might still have the bigger one floating around somewhere.

i put a tool box in the bed for my extra batteries, but thats cause I'm adding 4. ...4 6v 260ah batteries in a kobalt chest, with 2 power inverters 800w and 1800w. all this powers a 50a heater, block heater, coolant circ heater, and any power tool i need. charging off a second alt, 190a upgrade cs130. (the preheat system is hooked to a keyfob remote) :yes:

oh, both batteries should be the same type, brand and age or they will die prematurely.
