80's ax5 external slave is essentially the same, but 70 degrees clockwise of that position. (upper passenger side of the bellhousing).

Column shift? As in Automatic? That would be an AW-4.

 

BA 10/5 and AX-4 are both manual transmissions, and the AX-4 is a 4 cylinder transmission.

ALL column shift MJ's are automatic transmissions. AW4.
