knever3
So he must have used the vin off the '97, I would think that the '88 would be cheaper to insure? Stick with the vin on the engine bay!!

Geonovast
I'm starting to think this thing's a scam. I remember awhile seeing two posts, from two different places on CL, several hundred miles away both selling this truck at the same time. Â The actual truck is probably tucked away safe with its creator. I mean really, who could possibly have the know-how, ambition, resources, and money to do this... and then sell it? shelbyluvv
I mean really, who could possibly have the know-how, ambition, resources, and money to do this... and then sell it? Â That was the plan all along for mine before my wife fell in love with it. It does not cost that much to do the conversion. Â Here is a break down of what I have spent thus far, Â 89 MJ $400 97 XJ $1200 MJ D44 $225 Tail gate $125 New NOS rear bumper $160 Front fenders $50 for the pair stock 97 XJ radio $20 seats $300 (2 different styles of buckets so far) front Bumper cars $20 97 XJ 2 door seat tilts $50 Dashes $50 (had 2 different ones) Rubicon MOABs $175 4" lift Kit $250 new A/C system $100 Â Total $4300 I bumped the total up in case i forgot some stuff. Â Stuff sold All MJ stock stuff $500 All not used XJ stock stuff and carcas $500 Other crap I sold that I did not need (2 97 Dashes and seats) $300 Â Total $1300 Â Total spent $3000 Â It is not to exspensive to build one if you wait for the right deals to come along. dancome433
Yea its cheap thing to do, but its time consuming, and not every one has the space, tools, or knowledge to do it, i think thats why its a little pricey
shawn
i was thinking more about this one i saw once on here that was apparently a 2000 cherokee that was possibly cut off behind the windshield and under the seats and the back half of a comanche ( that had the exact same treatment) welded on to this. - apparently the frames were a different width, but this was overcome with some gusset plates welded on.
