Pete M Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I assume you mean 4.56? That should be good for a 2.5L and 31s. Personally I go right to 4.88s, but that's just me. :D I prefer deep gears over driving 80 mph.
JOMJ87 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I ran 31s with 3.55 gears and it did ok flat but don't try hills also you will loose 5th gear almost completely. I have 4.10 with 35s and its about the same but it does ok for where i drive because i hardley take it off base so it don't get above 40 mph that much. :D Cole

I have 4.88 gears, air lockers, long arms and 36" SS Irocs with bead locks. Axles are d44 from an Isuzu rodeo and d44 from a grand wagoneer ( still on the bench). It has been off the road since 2009. Plan is to build some kind of flat bed with roll bar.
