i talked to dad about this (hes machanic king around our place) and he says it sounds like your thermostat is either the wrong one or in backwards. or it may have air in the system

There is air for sure.

Thermostat is a 195 degree

and it can't go in the otherway the housing doesnt fit

okay then i just read that you should park it on a hill and loosen the sending unit

and that will bleed the air out

Yes I know i need to do that but it still heated up last time with air in the system

it will always heat up eventually another idea to get the air out is o run it with the rad cao off when its uo to temp

really so after it warms up just take off cap and let it run for a little bit?

just fire it up with the cap off and drive around untill it gets to opoerating temp then put the cap on and see if it helps it should get the air out

You guys are forgetting this is the CLOSED system!!!! Jake, do i need to come over there and beat you with the temp sender?

 

In this system, it won't burp like an open. Leaving the cap off does no real good. You HAVE TO park it facing down hill while cold, pull the rear sender, and bleed it off. I was assuming you bled it like I told you to after doing the t-stat. It will act like it is UNTIL YOU bleed it.

For some air that will work, but these RENIX 4.0L's are a son-of-a if you don't bleed them properly.

Rob, please for the love of MJs everywhere, bleed, burp, beat, whatever you have to do BEFORE he ruins the engine. Please?!?!?!?! Pretty please?!?!?!?!?

 

While your there, you might take away his tube of RTV. I think he got some in his ears and it's affecting his hearing. :rotfl2:
