Here's Jeep bike that I salvaged out of someones trash. I put new front tube in and made it rideable.

I also got the Cherokee wheel that's in the Pic.

Does anyone know the year they were using this as a promotion with the purchase of a Cherokee?

I didn't think it was a promotion, just something jeep had to sell alongside/a name for their aftermarkets... Because the Comanche bike never sold alongside, or came with MJ's.

yeah i think someone just paid chrysler to use the name, kinda like those jeep baby strollers and radios you see.....

Yup.... you got put on a mailing list when you bought a new Jeep.. or you can sign up at Chrysler's website and get the catalog.

i think it was volkswagen that gave away bikes with the cars, can't remember for sure though. we used to joke that the bike was a better deal than the car.

Whatever company that made the Jeep bikes did do something a little different... some of the models actually came 2wd. They had driveshafts inside the frame that ran from the rear wheel to the front, and you could actually power both wheels.

 

I believe they ran somewhere around $5k.

you are correct! vw had the jetta trek edition, which came with roof racks and a mountain bike....
