occasional cough

this just developed last night actually. only happened a few times. driving along at a constant speed and the motor would kinda stutter momentarily. nothing to bad but i don't want it to get worse. any ideas?

Possible bad gas you might have just purchased? :dunno:

My first 88 did that shortly after I bought it. Turned out to be bad plug wires.

nah, probably wasnt the gas cause it started doing it when i had about a half tank.

now its starting to do it on almost every acceleration from stop. :fs1:

Throttle position sensor is what I would check if it happens for just a moment after pressing on the throttle which is what it sounds like based on the fact that it is happening on acceleration from a stop. Check adjustment for sure and if its real bad replace it.
