Also, I'm not sure I could pop holes in solid rockers if my life depended on it. But then, I've lived in Michigan my whole life and disturbing pristine sheetmetal usually plants the seeds of rust. whowey Posted June 13, 2009 Share Posted June 13, 2009 I'm gonna agree with Pete about a the desert part. The picture of the Comanche parked in sand near the house lends to that. But I wonder how he got a 103" wheelbase??? The bed looks stock from the pics.. And I wouldn't let anything as half-assed as sheetmetal screws and jack-nuts near my junk. You aren't mounting those to anything structural there. They don't add strength except that of the steel itself. They belong right down there as self tapping screws for mounting parts and brake line extensions. Half-assed parts lead to half-assed problems.
