custom pieced lift kit?

Recommended Posts

To really figure some stuff out, take about an hour and read through all the lift related threads you can find. There is a TON of info on this site.

Also, what kind of driving are you planning on doing? Tire size?

Sounds like you are on the right track, but I don't know what a Skyjacker component box is. Have you thought about longer or adjustable control arms? How about extended brake lines, sway bar disconnects or extentions, longer/adjustable track bar?

You won't need the TC drop. XJs need them, but MJ rarely do at 3".

Oh, and post some PICS of your MJ!! We love pics around here.

so here's my plan

OME cherokee coils 3"

ome cherokee lift shocks

rubicon express t case drop 1"

hell creek 3" leafs

and a skyjacker component box

will these parts all work togther on my comanche?

if not any suggestions?

thanks jamminz.gif

EXCELLENT CHOICE on the rear springs !! (Shameless Plug  )

Some of the guys on here have paired up our rear springs with Rubicon Express front coils and are very happy.

Thanks,

Tom

Ditto on not needing the t-case drop.

Might want to double check with skyjacker that the big assembly will indeed bolt to an MJ. There are some differences in the frame area.

YJ brake lines are longer for the front, 95 Dakota brake line is longer for the rear.

You'll need longer swaybar links. Disconnect-able are preferred.

MJs and XJs run different rear shocks

so what shocks could I use?

I would prefer blisten or OME but anything works

According to others particularly Don (hornbrod) use the N40L for the rears which is the Grand Cherokee shock. I used this for my Hellcreek 3 inch rears, but I used the RE 3.5 inch springs in the front (Like Brent's BLHTAZ ride) with the OME N35. If you get springs longer than the OME 2 inch you might consider the N35L. Sounds like great choices you have made, you might also want to consider an adjustable trackbar.

sweet! :cheers:thanks! I might go with the RE springs cause I think that the 3"OME springs are really 2.5"
Glad to help  If you are going to wheel a lot take into consideration what Pete said about the YJ front brake lines, and the 1995 Dakota rear brake line.

I did get a full 3" using the OME coils comparing before and after readings from the wheel hub center to the flare lip. But in reality, when measuring ride height the correct way according to the FSM, I now sit 2-1/2" above stock in the front.
