brdhntr Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 the stuff on mine is black on top and yellow underneath. again, it is only on the top of the fuel pump mount and lockring assembly. not all over the tank. it's pretty sticky as well.

mfpdm Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I've never come across anything on the gas tanks in that location. Sounds like someone was trying to fix a leak maybe and slapped that stuff on there. :dunno: :cheers:
