Casper2000
Hey guys. Can anyone recommend weather or not i should run puller or pusher fans for this LS1 swap I'm doing? :dunno: I got that custom Alum rad and its only got room for maybe a Dual 10" but nothing taller then that. With it being custom the normal upgrades i have seen guys do WILL NOT WORK !! Thanks in advance
Joop
A pulling fan is the most effective. Go for that design if you can.
Casper2000
Thanks! I wasnt sure what was better. The size is set in stone :wall: Should i try and fab up some kind of shroud
dasbulliwagen
Push or pull depends upon which side of the radiator you mount the fan on. If you mount it in front of the rad you want a push, if it is behind the rad you need a pull. All depends upon mounting position.
mvusse
For off road I would suggest a push fan in front of the radiator. That way when you go into deep water the fan blades can't pull themselves into the radiator, but will actually try to pull away. For a street vehicle pull fans might be more efficient. FxRacing282
when you still have cooling issues, you have take little fans and get some hose and run some cold air going into the rad from somewhere thats not hot. like the wheelwell.
Casper2000
Well i went with dual puller's with the idea of stayin mostly on the road with some offroad on the side. Has anyone done both? Add pusher and puller. How well is this going to work if i just over lap the edges of all three fans.

HOrnbrod
Still difficult to see exactly what you have done. Here's the writeup (start on page 2) I did using two OEM 10-blade 1997+ puller aux fans to cool my stroker. Each pulls 1500 CFM and this setup has been working very well for me. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8342&start=
