Giffer Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 ive got a dana 44 out of my YJ and was looking for mounting brackets to mount to the MJ. anyone know of any companys that would makes and sell them?? the welding is not an issue but i don't want to waste my time on cutting them off the MJ and then rewelding them.
james750 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhh, I am pretty sure that all YJ's had a d35 rear axle. Correct me if I am wrong.
shelbyluvv Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 If you only need the perches then you can get them from Summit Racing for about $20 shipped. If you want everything, (perches, u-bolts, plates, and shock mounts) then you can't beat Ruff Stuffs Dana 44 swap kits at $120.
Giffer Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 its the front. I'm not 100% on what they were out of but the YJ is leafs and i need a kit/mounting brakes to convert the front to mount coils. but i will have to look up those ruff's. thanks
Giffer Posted April 15, 2009 Author Posted April 15, 2009 ill have to check them out. i can't seem to find what I'm looking for on the ruffstuffs site. lots of goodies but i can't find the dana 44 to coil conversion or brackets.
CWLONGSHOT Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhh, I am pretty sure that all YJ's had a d35 rear axle. Correct me if I am wrong. Your are correct, YJ ALL came with a D30 in the front and a D35 out back mounted on leaf springs...... Giffer, If you do have one out of a YJ the PO put it in, not the factory... CW
Giffer Posted April 15, 2009 Author Posted April 15, 2009 i know. like i said before they were on that jeep when i purchased the YJ and I'm not 100% on what they came out of. but I'm having one hell of a time finding conversion brackets though. i think i might have found some.
reson46 Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 This one from TNT is about that best that I have seen. Willy
