Geonovast Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Pulled the bedliner out of the 4.0 and noticed this. I'm guessing its the mounting location of a stock rollbar?
ren Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I don't believe that it is for the factory rollbar, as the brackets on my MJ don't line up with the plate. The brackets straddle the bed re-inforcement , and the bar is bolted to the bedfloor, and then the brackets. It "might" be for the build process, and served as an alignment point, all though why they needed that big of one, I don't know. There are several such points on the chassis, if you look.
69CamaroSS Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Its just there to make you ask that question
offroader461 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 thats a drain plug for the bed...should have 2 one on both sides near the front of the bed
Ed in North Ga. Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 all the above, and- used for the wires to go into a camper, also for reference point for pulling on a framerack. Dodge/chrysler ended up popping it and putting in plugs.
