Frankensteinsmj Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 pulling the ol puker and gonna tear it down and see if I can find out what is making all that clicking noise. Any links would be great. I'm suspecting it to be the bearing on the front for the input shaft.
Pete M Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!! :rotfl2: laughin :clapping:  :rotf: Oh wait, you're being serious! Um, well, let's just say that it's not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination. I tried taking my blown up one apart using the factory shop manual and after a couple days I eventually gave up and started using a cutoff wheel and sledge hammer. And it was still a major pain in the butt! It's a super-complex and stupid-fragile piece of crappy french engineering. I'm not saying it isn't possible, I'm just saying that there's a chance that your trans won't be going back together. And parts are expensive and hard to get. My advice is to top off the oil in your trans and start saving up for an AX-15 swap. I'm very very serious.
Oizarod115 Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 i have a ticking noise in mine too, can you describe your noise a little more?
Cabz Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 i have a ticking noise in mine too, can you describe your noise a little more? thats the sound of that pukegoat time bomb gettin ready to explode. Mine has the shifter flailing around like an epileptic in third gear and has started to POP outta reverse gear quite nastily. It's only a matter of when not if.
DirtyComanche Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Mine pops out of reverse all the bloody time. Scared the $#!& out of me when I was backing down a hill...
