mark_moz Posted January 19, 2009 Share Posted January 19, 2009 i recently purchased a 1987 jeep cpmmanche pickup and i have replpaced some wiring and installed a new alternator and battery theni replaced the ignition module and ignition coil but it still cranks and doesn't start anyone have any suggestions, also if you know where i can get a parts magazine online please help me. jake Posted January 19, 2009 Share Posted January 19, 2009 I just went through this myself with my '88 Comanche. You can test the CPS with a multimeter, set for ohms resistance, you should have about 250-500 ohms. Mine was at infinite which means open circuit. I found this site which gives very good directions for testing your Renix system: http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Eng ... ostics.htm Autozone has the CPS for about $32.00.
