mvusse
I'm signing off for now as the laptop has to do mapping duties and the wifi has to be packed up to go to Canada with me (to be hooked up to my parents' dsl router). And in about 30 minutes I'll start on my 350 mile journey with a bad fuel pump. Leaving at 2 should get me through Detroit before rush hour traffic starts. Hopefully I'll still be able to go fast enough by then to stay on the freeway (I75 to I275 to I94). If not, I guess I'll take Gratiot Ave through the city and towards Port Huron. Plan on picking up another pump in Port Huron on the way through (last Advance on the way, hope to hit them as they open), cross the border and then another 80 or so miles to my parents' before I change the pump in their garage. mvusse
A 6 hour trip took 9 1/2 hours. Some breaks to let the fuel pump cool off, which worked for an other hour in the morning, but only 10 minutes toward the end. Limped into my parents' drive way about 10 mph wanting to stall out. Fuel pump *was* extremely loud at the start of the day, toward the end it was a lot quieter, and sometimes you couldn't hear it at all for a second or so, immediately followed by the engine stumbling  oh, and there's 4 feet of snow on the back deck of the house. After I install the new pump I will try to climb some hills in the parking lots, but don't expect much without lockers.

Marcel........just wait, and it will melt........saves time shoveling :D Course it might be a couple of months
Pete M
No, I also updated my project thread for the 90 shell. :D Plus shots of my dogs sleeping. What more could you want? :laughin: I'm mad that I missed all the snow. :( But no matter, I talked with my MI neighbors today and the snow is gone already. One 60 degree day and a bunch of rain was all it took to melt 8-10 inches. Some of the grass is green, but the tress are all bare. Looks like Michigan, but with the occasional lizard. I'm not far enough south for anything interesting.

mvusse
I took those photos yesterday after it rained most of the day Saturday with 52 degrees. the creek behind my parents yard is a raging river and some neighbouring towns are partially under water. The snow has noticeably gone down a lot. I think we are left with about a foot now. Detroit didn't have much snow to speak off when I came through Friday.morning. Anyway, I'm going to attempt to visit an old friend of mine Thursday or Friday. If his town is still flooded I'll take some pictures. I know yesterday the main street was closed because it was under water.
