2.5 serp belt

does anyone have like a picture or diagram of the ay the serp belt goes on with a truck with no air. iv tried like every way to put it on. i didnt take it off it snapped off when my altenator locked up any help would be apriciated

Yours has a serp belt? I haven't looked at the '88 2.5L I have for over a year, but my recollection is that it has two V belts.

i looked in my manuel chilton and it only had one with ac and it aint much help cuz i don't have ac.

i was callin places to see how much it cost to put it on but thats jus awesome.

There are several different belts available for it too. One with ac and no power steering. One with power steering and no AC. I think the v-belts ones were for the 2.5's with out either the AC or the Power steering.

The straggler rule is in play here.

 

Ive seen up to '88s with Vbelts, Ive also seen '87s with Serps. Neither of them had a certain setup as per options.
