kmack
sooo.. i got a price for a new transfer case and ax15. both heavy duty, never installed, never rebuilt, for $2700. i can't argue. but i also can't afford right now! hahah. :wall: so i plan on finishing this silly ford ranger as my daily driver, then as soon as i get a new garage to park my comanche inside, i'll be getting my hands dirty. i plan on new shocks, soa, new wheels, toyo m55s, front coils, tranny, transfer case, sye, clutch, ball joints, track bar, other miscellaneous bushings or bearings. kmack
well i found a 91 comanche with 278000km and an ax15, 4x4. cheap. my clutch lever snapped the other day so that was fun. welded it. the clutch master leaks onto my fueses like it should so i'm thinking with this new comanche i will replace the tranny, transfercase, clutch, clutch master and lever. do you guys think its worth it to install a the ax with 278000km or should i find a newer one? how new can i go before i run into compatibility issues? on a side note, i got some studded bf's for winter and i have a feeling theyre going to rub in the back considering my bald 235's rub already. does anyone know of rims off another vehicle with less backspacing? TNT
31s will fit pretty good without lift 32s are pushin it id go lt 235 myself If you aren't going with 31's use 30"x9.50"x15" tires. They won't rub and are normally built with a heavier duty belts and overall construction. :brows: They will handle way better then 235's at speed. 235's are basicly a passenger car tire.
mvusse
I run 235/75R15 extra load range at 44 psi on my Cherokee, and before that on the Manche. They rub the control arms at full lock. About equivalent to what would be a 29x9.25. And yes, they are P rated, not LT.

kmack
ya i used to have extra load tires, bald as @#$% but i ran them at 44 on the highways. 30ish on the dirt. i put them on my 87 ranger and now i got some bf goodrich trac edge tires that are studded. 235x75s and i was wondering what psi i should run them at on the road/dirt because it looks like they were under inflated before. they recomend a max psi but that is all.
