Shane
I am having trouble with my coolant bubbling out of the jug after I cut it off. Here is what I done so far ( I know all does not protain to this problem) changed the oil & filter, fuel filter, thermostat, battery, starter altenator and the lid for the jug. I had a mechanic get the air out of the system. He said that it could possibly be a cracked head. There is no oil in the waater and no water in the oil. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks again, Shane
james750
Sounds like a pressure problem. Most likely the coolant bottle, maybe the cap.
twojeeps
i had same issue, thought it was cap, thought it was water pump, but issue was air in the system after i thought it was all out. i wouldnt rule that out in your case.
Geonovast
I also had the same problem. It solved itself, since there was simply too much water in the system. Once it bubbled enough over it stopped, and stopped overheating. (88 XJ 4.0)
pingpong
You can have a craked head as well. Not all of the time does the water go into the oil. Sometimes it goes out the exhaust. Start your truck and smell for coolant or the smell of "steam"
BPB
The bottle from an intrepid has metal lid and is a pretty easy install
