jeepthing07
I think I'm going to spring over the rear of my comanche and put 4.5 inch coils up front will it sit level with 4.5" coils? and what about the lower control arms will they work for now or do i need to get new ones? and this is a 2wd comanche will my old driveshaft still work? does the tcase have to be droped? I'm going to be running 32's o AR 15x8 black steel rims
Pete M
-Your driveshaft should be fine, just install new U-joints. -You don't have a t-case, and even if you did, you won't need a drop kit. -4.5" coils can work just fine with an SOA conversion. -You'll need much more than just replacement lower control arms. Shocks, trac bar, brake lines, etc all need to be replaced.

DirtyComanche
Make the perches short, it'll still probably have a rake.
Pete M
Don't forget that 2wd leaf packs sit 1" lower than 4wd packs. Plus most MJs' leafs sag a bit from time while the coils should give the full 4.5".
DirtyComanche
I guess. But mine is only level when you put 600LBs on the bed. It is a slightly different setup though.
Bounty Hunter
I'm SOA with 4wd spring packs in the rear and it sits slightly tail high with 5.5" coils. Sits level with a slight load in the bed like an axle.
jeepthing07
i guess i could allways add a spacer to the coils there cheap enough

I agree, 5.5" coils and a spring over/factory leafs looks right to me.....but as Pete said, the 2WD leaves seem to be about 1" lower...so you may get a nice look with only 4.5' coils in your 2WD. I prefer that slightly higher in the back look, its as pu should be IMHO. CW
