onetallmj Posted May 25, 2006 Share Posted May 25, 2006 The NP231 that comes in the Comanche is shifted with a linkage. The only thing vacuum on it a switch(?) that sends a signal to the vacuum disconnect on the front axle and the light on the dash. I sold a Tcase to somebody with a 93xj The tcase was out of 88XJ He came back and told me it won't work because his is electronic and the 88 case was vacume... my question was what exactly are the vacume controlls if any on an early model 231 and what are the electronic connections.... I know the VSS is electric or manual, but that can be changed... are there any other ones that would prevent him from using this case in his 93? pingpong Posted May 25, 2006 Share Posted May 25, 2006 NOPE. The vacum on the tailshaft housing needs to be changed over or just plugged. won't make a difference if the t-case works or not.
