Hello I remember seeing a chart that gave you the distance you have to shift the axle forward depending on lift and know i can't find it can anyone help me out with that. thank you Robert

I started off the same way replaced only the engine bay harness after 1 month of trying to troubleshoot what the prob was some one pointed out i needed to replace every wire from the donor after that was done i turn the key and fired right up went from 2.5 5sp man to 4.0 auto in about 8 months cause i didn't know i had to repalce the in side. time just wasted :cry:

well i can't figure out why I'm not getting so much as a click or fuel pump sound when i turn the key i replaced every wire in her (Went pretty smooth) can anyone give me some thoughts? thnaks

There are at least 60 wires going from the fuse box to who knows where i would be lost in no time if i did that. Wiring is not my strong point at all! P.S I forgot to add i put YJ brakes lines in the front and dakota line in the rear last week

I'm thinking of selling the mj above i just don't have the time to fix her up anymore. I just put a 4.0 in my 86 Xls with no problems i had to use the 4.0 motor mounts but other than that she went right in.

I'm Running 95 left side yj up front and 96 daytona in the rear and i have 6.5 of lift

I left the interior fuse panel from the 2.5 in. Do i need to replace it with the one from the 90 xj? The only thing i replaced was the gauges what else do i need use? :bowdown:

I used nothing from the 2.5 engine.I pulled everything out and put all 90 xj parts back in. I slide the motor,trans,transfer case as a single unit and then put all the wring harness in.

No i did have to touch the firewall all i had to do was move the motor mounts i didn't even have to drill any holes to mount it is all there.I gave all the 2.5 stuff to my uncle

Hello I bought a 86 2.5 5sp and i swap a 4.0 Auto in Then i added a set of rustys 4.5 springs and 1.5 spacers and did a SOA in the rear I also swap the old bench seat for XJ buckets and full console and full guage cluster (pics pending)
