  2. Well obviousley i didnt just find this out yesterday anymore, just an update. We are going into the hospitol tonight at midnight to have the baby around 8 am tomorrow! i guess ill have to mount some seats in the bed of the MJ to haul the kids around, perhaps a camper shell is in order?
  3. ehhh. its not so much a howl as a rattle. and the time it happens most is when the clutch is engaged and I'm at the top end of first gear, then if i step on the clutch and hold it in, the rattle will go away after about 2 seconds, but it i quickly shift to second, it stops when i re-engage it and accelerate. i can't get it to do it when I'm in neutral and stepping on the gas, but i can make it do it like i said when i make a hard turn at a good speed weather the tranny is in neutral or if its in gear and I'm stepping on the clutch, it still happens until i engage the clutch again. :dunno:
  4. yeah, i figured it would have to come out one way or another, is it a really hard thing to change?
  5. it sounds more like the pilot bearing....of the ones listed. so that one
  6. And i don't suppose any of those are an easy fix. anyone have a write up?
  7. here's mine, i think i like CW's better though. Image Not Found
  8. This one sounds like something is begining to come loose somewhere, sounds like something spinning freely when its not supposed to. its not constant. it most often happens at the top of first gear and continues for a second or two when i push in the clutch to shift and then stops, it doesnt happen in second gear and sonetimes happens in third gear. i can also make it happen if I'm in neutral and make a sharp turn around 30mph. i can't tell if its the tranny(ba-10) or not because it happens both when the clutch is engaged and when its in neutral. the sound does get faster when it happens in first gear and and slows when i push in the clutch pedal and when it happens on a fast turn the sound stays constant and goes away when i engage the clutch. this is really hard to describe, i have to try to find a way to record it. I'm really desperate to fix this because it sounds like something bad. thanks Erik
  9. Yeah, maybe ill give it another shot, but is was way over priced and sub par food with slow service.
  10. yeah I did. they actually looked decent with the black. I just got my sister's bf to order a set of the regular ones for his cherokee. giving him my nice h4's to replace the crappy ones with. he asked me to hook up the small ones to his strobe system...he's a full time EMT in 4 different states (right on the WI/IL/MN/IA border) and so these small lights will come in handy for his strobe system. I don't even think mine light up anymore, havent even had them a year yet. I wonder if they can be replaced with an aftermnarket bulb?
  11. they just put one of those up here in scranton......i will never go back there........
  12. I did it....don't bother wasting your time. they are something "different" for about a week, then you can't even tell thay are on anymore. when i replace my header panel I'm just cutting those out.
  13. all i did was plug them in......oh, there is a black rubber thing that comes on the back of them that didnt fit too well, so i discarded that and that was it, didnt have to change anything.
  14. Northeast PA here, scranton/wilkes-barre area.
  15. um. not that great is an understatement. just to completely deter you from them, I wired up a relayed system with 12g wiring and one relay per beam setting (one hi, one low) in an attempt to get these to work. When that didn't make them acceptable (i.e. my small keychain laser pointer/flashlight STILL showed brighter than the headlights), I upgraded to a set of bulbs ($50 for them...good quality h4's) and that STILL didn't work. these headlights are worthless. but they look great :D had them in my black/chrome 86 xj for a total of two days Yeah, i can only vouch for the regular ones, in fact as far as the black ones i have not heard anything good at all, i remember someone on here like a year ago got them and a couple of people after him and not one good word. I think if Jeepco couldnt even get them to work they are probably trash.
  16. I have the regular headlights from them that arent the black chrome ones and the bulbs that came with them were trash, but i swapped them out for some sylvania xtravisions and thet work great now.
  17. AV-8's drop tanks hold the same amount, I'm not sure on the overall capacity though, i just know its all in the wings. I would hate to be EOD on that base having to pull those gbu-12's off after a crash. we had a harrier catch fire in the fuel pits one time and EOD wanted me to pull off the cads and mk-76's, mind you the charge in those are white phospferus. I pretty much told him to get lost as tactfully as i could.
  18. hey, the search function does work! anyway, i dug up this moldy oldy to ask if there is a way to wire the electric fan so that it kicks on at the temp its supposed to as well as have it on a switch on the cab so i can turn it on/off as i so choose? and if so, can someone please provide me with some details on how to? Thanks Erik
  19. well i figure if I'm going to replace the shocks i would look into doing the spings next, thats why i was looking for input on an inexpensive yet well made set. any advice?
