  1. Rears sitting up now. Still a lot of weight in the bed and none up front, so hopefully it'll level out. Just have to order a track bar and a few other goodies.
  2. Picked up a WJ booster and master cylinder for $30. Also picked up some windshield trim and chrome header panel trim.
  3. I've tried to join, but it's been weeks and still haven't been approved.
  4. I really don't like doing front end work, so I'm going in to do everything right. On the way are all new steering components, all MOOG. Also swapping over to a ZJ V8 tie rod setup.
  5. Definitely. Right now, it's free covered storage though. It's coming off as soon as I can swap the interior of the XJ over.
  6. I think I have one already since it didn't quite fit my bike. Ha
  7. My transfer case linkage is shot, so I ordered the Boostwerks setup. If I'm going through all the hassle of swapping harnesses. I figured I'd put those electric locks to use and install a keyless entry / remote start system. I'm normally gun shy of them, but 99% of the problems I've seen with them can be traced back to shoddy installation. I'll probably pick up an IRO track bar and steering box spacer soon.
  8. Front's done. Got that squat like all the Chevys around here.
  9. Front axle robbed. And transplanted. Now if I can get these control arms bolted up.
  10. I'm staying original dash, and most likely original front clip. I am swapping over the grey interior / console / 4WD from my donor XJ. I do like the look of the 87 grille though.
  11. The passenger seat is decent. With a little welding, the driver's will be fine. I'm hoping to get a set of 2dr seat covers in grey to put on them.
  12. Lift is here. I went with the Zone 4.5" kit. Hopefully I can begin on it tonight.
  13. As someone who works on them all the time, avoid any Ford with the 3V Triton engine. They are absolute crap. No power, timing chain issues, terrible head design, just a terrible engine.
  14. Already got it. The previous owner did all that to the donor along with gold heat wrap on the bottom of the intake and fuel rail.
  15. I should have everything. I'm using a 01 intake manifold.
  16. I'm trying to decide on a lift. I want to run somewhere around 3-5". I'm torn between piecing a lift together or just getting the Zone 4.5"kit and a track bar. I plan on swapping the D35 out sometime down the road, so the add a leaf only needs to last till then when I go SOA.
  17. I've got an 89 MJ 4.0 and a 92 XJ 4.0 Sport donor. I'm swapping in a 4.0 HO engine and I was planning on sticking with the Renix setup, but I'm swapping the blue interior to grey from the XJ and I'd like to add power windows and I prefer the fuse box from the 92. Since I'll have the dash out anyways, is there any reason why I shouldn't swap over to the HO XJ harness? I'll also be running the AW4 and transfer case from the same vehicle. Other than cutting down wiring for the rear, it seems like it wouldn't be hard. Anything I'm missing?
  18. That right there is a job well done. Hats off to you, sir. Looks great.
  19. Put in a few hours today. Head on, new lifters in. New oil pan gasket and timing cover gasket, crank seal. Primed. And painted. I originally wanted to go with a different color, but black just fits everything. This engine is a Jasper Reman with 26k miles out of a 92 Jeep Comanche. Current setup is 4.0 HO block bored .060 over, 7120 HO Head (mostly new, only 5k miles on it from Dover Heads in Atlanta), 01 intake manifold, Comp Cams custom grind (mild torque cam), and an aftermarket header of unknown origins,
  20. Donor engine stripped of head and cam. Cam and new timing chain installed Oil pan gasket and paint prep on the 92 Jasper engine that will be used
  21. Donor's in the shop. Couple hours of teardown.
  22. I'd recommend investing in a volt meter. You can throw parts at it, or you can save time and money by diagnosing it properly
  23. Here is my organ donor. 92 XJ Sport, 4WD, NP231, AW4. D35/D30 3.55. It has a new cylinder head with 5k miles on it, new fuel pump, distributor, starter, spark plugs, cap and rotor, Comp Cams custom grind cam, lifters, new header. It has the 01 intake manifold that has been port matched and coated with gold heat wrap with ZJ power steering pump (i think) I also like the 3 row aluminum radiator and triple electric fan setup. Not bad for $700.
  24. Going to look at a parts XJ and an engine tomorrow. Ready to start working on the ol girl, but I've told myself I need to get my Nighthawk running first.
