if your not interested in replacing the whole axle you can just pick up some xj or tj one piece shafts and some new seals, remove the disco thingy and put a cover plate on it. http://www.stu-offroad.com/axle/yjd30co ... vert-1.htm That article says YJ but its the same for an xj and mj.

does your truck run? That is the 2.5L that was on the truck you got from the junk yard? I would say that you probably can't have to many pictures at this point.

I swear your missing a part in that picture, but I don't know what it is. I think its all the vacuum stuff, and that might run the motor - but I have no idea.

I believe they are painted and not a factory option.

can't you just change the the gearing in the tranny and rear end and strap a couple dozen bottles of nitrous in the bed and plan on getting just one run out of it?

make sure you look over that 44 and the leaf's it doesnt appear that when the junk yard placed that truck that they took much into consideration. I wouldn't be supprised if it was frozen with rust, dented or bent.

I have done this mod, it doesnt help my driving characteristics, only helps ease my mind that I have a little bit stronger parts up front when wheeling.

if its the v6 and ba10/5 run away!
