  1. get a long arm. Seriously - you will hate yourself later if you don't. 32's are nice... your going to want 33's a lot of us have gone this route. Most all of us will tell you to jump right to 33's. I learned from my TJ before I sold it. I fit 33's barely, then had 35's but rubbed all the time and couldnt disconnect. I sold that. I can't afford the long arm for my MJ, but would have gladly thrown down on it. Now I have a lift that doesnt allow for highway travel... ghey death wobble. I am now in the process of putting one tons on and changing everything... would have been sooooooo much cheaper if I had gone this route from the word "GO" than trying to just get a quick fix. If you really have the money, think about what you want. And go for it.
  2. Thanks dude! SAVED!
  3. yes, you can have my truck for months... just depends on how local you are.
  4. when you don't have heat at all, thats not really a down side :) I am going to fix that! ASAP! .....right after I fix the huge hole in my passanger window - stupid tree!
  5. mmmmmm my truck needs balls.
  6. Is that why my heat doesnt work?
  7. I cut my bumper, and that thing just kinda hung there until one day in the woods when my tire got ahold of it and sent it flying away. To this day I havent put one back in. My truck runs the same with it out, so I havent noticed why I need that.
  8. If the pedal is sticking (I just went through this) pop the hood and squirt wd40 all over the mechanisms that control the throttle to the right of the engine if your standing at the grill. Fixed my issues.
  9. front or rear?
  10. whats the length? Whats the length you need? I don't really understand what your point is.
  11. yes, I keep trying to talk my wife into buying a piece of land up north and sticking a trailer on it. She won't do it... yet.
  12. no I don't know that they are cut, I do know that they do not go into the gear area. I agree definitally a 60, says so in more than one spot. And I tried my best to count the slots where the teeth of the axle shaft would go and maybe I skipped one, wasnt very easy, all I know is that its not 30 or whatever. Better than my D35, I will find some shafts and put it under my truck A good thing is, the spring perches are only a 1/2 inch off, so I might be able to slide it under with very little work.
  13. Here, whoever was complaining about pics, I pulled out my good one: I was wrong! It looks like they just cut the shafts off... here's what I know - 16 spline axles, the date it was stamped is 11-24-71. I assume that it has 4:10 gearing, it took 8 full turns of the yoke to turn the gears once. It was FULL of gear oil, love that smell - and the bearings and all seem to move very well and no teeth are missing. Here are some picks, someone please tell me what I have: And it looks like this is stamped on the right side axle tube: 1 12 2A1 195 1 (the A could be a - or 4 or 5. But I think its A or 5 most likely.) http://www.jeepmj.com/images/D60/d60a.JPG http://www.jeepmj.com/images/D60/d60b.JPG http://www.jeepmj.com/images/D60/d60c.JPG http://www.jeepmj.com/images/D60/d60d.JPG http://www.jeepmj.com/images/D60/d60e.JPG Also, how desirable of a D60 do I have? For a free D60 should I be excited?
  14. pete let me know if I can help, and I do have an alternate forum we can use depending on how bad things are, let me know.
  15. from what I have learned, not all use the same as a D44... either way, it will be better than my D35. I will post pictures of it tomorrow with complete details - so we know what I got :)
  16. well, everyone cross there fingers that its a good D60!
  17. asked some Q's on Pirate about it, they think its FF too. And wow your harsh on picture quality  I didnt take those photo's. I am going to go buy this thing for $50 tomorrow (provided it passes a simple inspection) I didnt take those pics, but I will take some after I start ripping it apart to see what it really is
