  1. This has nothing to do with the Parts industry.
  2. Installed a 1999 era Clarion pro receiver so now I have tunes!! PO had the wiring so messed up it took me a bit to get it all figured out.
  3. Got my exhaust leak fixed. Then I went and passed my emissions test with flying colors.
  4. The tie downs where on the truck when I got it. They have come in handy already.
  5. I got to see it. Pretty cool.
  6. I do not want to start a build thread but I wanted to share a few pics. I just finished the AX15 swap and I am so happy I can drive this beast again. I do not have the 4X4 linkage hooked up yet and I seem to have a exhaust leak but I am happy.
  7. Offer him $700.00
  8. Also if you are like me and did the whole conversion with no donor vehicle make sure to buy real Jeep parts it saved headaches in a lot of areas.
  9. Yes I figured it out. I had a cheap mount that did not have the mounting holes at the top drilled in the correct spots. After adjusting the holes with a die grinder I have now got everything mounted and running and driving.
  10. Finished my AX15 swap and took it for a drive. Now it appears I have an exhaust leak.
  11. I just got done with the ax-15 swap and my truck started right up and ran good. As it warmed up it seems at the idle keeps going up and down and I seem to have the tractor sound before I shift when going down the road. I am guessing when I re installed my exhaust I did not get the pipe lined back up with the seal. Should I replace the seal or should I try to line up the exhaust pipe again?
  12. I got the cross member in the truck. Just need an exhaust gasket and some fluid in my transfer case and I will be able to start it up.
  13. Yes I bought number 25 and it was not cheap. Any other ideas?
  14. I have not taken any pictures. I did move the crossmember. I have a feeling I bought a cheap transmission mount and that is the problem.
  15. Anyone have any good pictures of the AX15 in the Comanche including the mount?
  16. What am I missing now? Why won't my cross member line up at all? Do I need a different transmission mount? I have the AX Cross member and for the life of me I can not get anything to line up. I would think at least one bolt would line up? Also I am using a 1998 TJ AX15.
  17. Well I got it this afternoon. I knew it was close. I dropped it down a little lower and the 2 main side bolts started to thread. I went back forth on each side and snugged them up and then put the 2 top bolts in and all is good. Now come to find out my transmission mount will not work since it is from a Wrangler.
  18. I sort of think that wrapping some tape around a clutch alignment tool that's "close" is probably not going to get the job done. We used to have a saying in the Army: "Close only counts with horseshoes and hand grenades." Well even testing the clutch disc on the input shaft on the bench that disc was really tight.
  19. I had no problems with the clutch alignment. I also put grease on the nose of the input shaft.
  20. Earlier someone mentioned the cut off bolts used to align the transmission to the motor. I am not using those.
  21. The alignment dowels are there.
  22. I used the closest clutch tool I could find. I had to put a little tape on it. I do not have the 2 cut off bolts in the block. Do you think that would help?
