  1. Yup. As luck would have it, I had a shop replace the pinion seal on my D35 8 months ago. They want to see it, its most likely under warranty to get it replaced again. This will at least buy me more time to get everything together to swap. -E.
  2. Yep....I'm looking for a D44 to replace my D35. In mpls MN. I'm also looking for someone to install it. Currently I have a pinched nerve causing loss of feeling in my left hand, so the install myself is not an option. Anybody in/near Mpls. MN. have a recommendation on where to find one, and who to have install it that would rock. -Erin
  3. Title says it all. I need a D44 to replace my ailing D35! In Mpls MN. -Erin
  4. Got the welder, teaching myself how to weld....Everything else is on hold. I will say, the truck has been running excellent lately....
  5. ^Thanks for lookin! I'm still on the hunt.....
  6. Length is 35.75 Yes, it is critical.
  7. Jim...but you do not have an extra head. Backdraft....Totally normal.
  8. I do remember going through minor issues and being very frustrated with it when I first got it. Thinking the constant repair may never end. It then occurred to me I had not worked on it in a few months....
  9. Today, it just sort of happened, I was cruising along on the freeway, and despite all the work it needs and all its quirks, and faults...I was just really content in owning an MJ.
  10. Hey Folks, I'm looking for a stock 1990 grill and headlight surrounds. With all these 97+ upgrades, someone has to have an extra? PM me with a price shipped to 55407. -E.
  11. Hey All, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to get to the upper inside nut on the Idle speed control motor to remove it from the mounting plate? (this is the nut that is on top closest to the throttle body, behind the plunger) Anyone? -Erin

Glacier Park? Gawd, I miss MT. Lived in Bozeman for 2 years.
  14. This swap is a ways off, but eventually. As far as finding a donor...It will happen when it happens.....XJ's here seem to be pretty abundant. 2.5's are slightly harder to find, but not impossible. There are a couple in the local PNP. -E.
  15. Aha. Ok. But it still holds true, I'll need to find a tranny out of a 4x4 for the proper mounting...
  16. There are 2w trans and 4w trans.......you cannot bolt a TC to a 2w trans...........there is no flange to bolt to. Look for a 94+ XJ with 2.5 That's the info I was looking for. I did not know about the different mounting flanges! Thanks! And...I agree on the 5 speed.
  17. I guess my question was...Why a 5 speed? The one in the ad is a 4 speed? Am I missing something? (I was not looking at this as a donor, but more of a question of why the need to swap tranny, as it appears they came 4x4 with a 4 speed 2.5L)
  18. How does that explain this one on Craigslist?: (its a 4 speed?) http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/c ... 07364.html
  19. Hey All, Kind of a broad question, but after I get done with my body work, I will be thinking about installing 4wd. Its a 1990 2wd currently. Any wiring changes need to be made, or is it plug and play? I understand, I'll need a front axle, and transfer case, and associated shift parts....Anything else? -Erin
