Got a chance to pick up 87 MJ 2.5 4x4 5 spd long box fairly cheap. Needs a clutch and tranny and transfer already out. Box is rough but has good doors hood glass and all the trim blue. Just gonna part it out if I get it . Is it worth it my be able to get it for a couple hundred . And it has a custom topper on it. Pretty much have all I need for mine. Just looking for some feed back Thanks Quint

Check fuel pump connector. Relay? Intermittent fuel pump issue/ could be on it's way of going out . Check fuel pressure. How many miles on it ? -
I will check it out when I swap it. pretty sure it isn't the solenoid because I use the screwdriver bypass method and it still didn't fire up. Where are you getting the starters from ?

Q's Jeep replied to lexluthier72's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Put 2 referance marks with a center punch, 1 on the yoke and 1 on nut . buzz it off pop the seal out put a little grease on the inside of the new seal to aid in installation and run the nut back till the 2 referance marks line up. Have done many this way and aint had one fail yet. You can do it !!!!! -

Just got my first MJ 89 4x4 4.0 AW-4/column shift. What is involved in relocating the alternator due to A/C comp is shot. Not going to retro the a/c . Or is there a idler pully assembly available to replace the a/c comp ? Thanks
