  1. Image Not Found  drooling over here!!! WOW!! That's pretty, too!!
  2. It's 18 in Alberta... 19 in B.C. Sucks to be them, course their livers will be healthier for a year longer than mine!
  3. We had a '99 WJ LTD (leather, fully loaded, AWD, 4.7L).... LOVED it!! Awesome ride, loads of power (especially when you stood on the gas pedal), lots of room, fairly manouverable. Got rid of it just because we miled it out (sold at 287,000kms). I wouldn't hesitate to get another. Just make sure you NEVER let the oil get low in it. Those 4.7Ls should have the "ADD" mark on the dipstick moved up another 1/4". Didn't happen to mine, but I have heard horror stories from other guys and seen one in a shop that was run, and then seized due to low oil level.

    35-37 tires

Too bad you're so far away.... I have a set of 4 worn (about 60-70% left) 36" swampers an brand new 10" wide rims with a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. And they are only $500, not $800 ;)
  5. Muhahahahah!!! HVAC/R Mechanic. I am a God amongst men.... I make beer cold! I started out installing A/C systems into those haul trucks, and 'dozers, and shovels, and drills, and draglines.... mining equipment will always have a soft spot in my heart....

    Gas prices

$1.07/L in Calgary. Welcome to the West.... :ack:
  7. Pulled it into the garage to swap out wheels. Question time.... What was this? Ballast resistor? Lucky this didn't burst on me when I was driving it home.... And the rockers..... now I am terrified to pull up the carpet. Anyone elses' engine super oily? Or am I the lucky one?
  8. Brought it home yesterday.... again. I am insulating the garage, so it has to sit out side for a little bit. The PO did a wee bit of work on it.... POR15'd the underside, exchanged boxes with another MJ that wasn't as rusty. Gutted the other MJ before hauling it to the wreckers.... Parts are still in the box until my garage is organized. Eliminator rims are in the back, along with dash pieces, and MJ seats that will actually tilt forward. Custom rear bumper.
  9. I had the same sort of symptoms on my '97 XJ... TPS (throttle position sensor) was the culprit. $40 and 6 minutes later... alllll good.
  10. Thanks.... but I never really left. Been lurking on here since I sold it back to the PO. Lots of cool stuff that you guys are doing here.
  11. This should be called Project Yo-yo... I have now re-purchased this MJ. :wall:
  12. And now for something completely different.... The MJ has been sold back to the previous owner (a good buddy of mine). It appears that he missed the ol' girl tooooooo much.
  13. Good luck, buddy!! Where abouts was the crash? Any news of how the driver/passenger are? You guys be safe, too!!! T
  14. Damnit... I guess that is what I get for being the "new guy". That has been my avatar on calgaryjeep.com for a long while now... force of habit.
  15. So I just added this one to the herd. That makes a stock '99 WJ LTD (the wife's), a stock '99 XJ (mine), a '97 XJ (on 35s, 4.56 gears, long armed), the trail truck, and now a 1990 MJ Eliminator. Sometimes I actually believe that I am crazy. I have a wee bit of work ahead of me. Rust patching, painting, and cleaning up a really oily motor. Looks like the oil is coming from around the oil filter/pressure sending unit. Anyways.... 405,862 kms, loads of rust, topper, and an MJ brush bar, 5spd (AX15), np231, D30/35 combination. Put 160 kms on it to get it home. A little shimmy at 130km/hr, but not too terrible. Everything works, except the interior pillar lights, and the cruise. Not sure what my plans are going to be.... the logical choice would be to keep 'er stock.... That's right.... 405,824 kms!!!
